Apprenticeships

  • 1993 — Moravian Pottery and Tile Works, Doylestown, PA Historic reproduction of Henry Mercer’s tile and mosaic designs. Personal design of tiles integrating the Tile Work’s methods of mold making, tile setting, and glaze formulation in a capacity for large productions.
  • 1988 — Suehiro Oshio, Nara, Japan Study of hand–thrown pottery production. Lived and worked with a Japanese family whose pottery had been in production for seven generations.
  • 1987 — Byron Temple, Lambertville, NJ Apprentice in hand–thrown pottery production.
